In conjunction with the 50th Bright Autumn Festival, the Bright Art Gallery presents their 50th Annual Autumn Art Exhibition this year.
It is now one of the leading exhibitions in Victoria, and attracts first-class artists from all over Australia.
The Exhibition opens on Thursday 5th April and runs for the next five weeks through the famous Bright Autumn Festival, until Friday 18th May.
The Gallery has been very fortunate to have well-known artists such as David Chen, Kasey Seely, Ross Paterson and Joseph Zbukvic on display. There are many great artists from Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, as well as some fabulous artists from our local area. The quality of paintings seems to improve every year, as this exhibition gains acclaim.
As this year is our 50th Anniversary, we have decided to provide a Special Prize of $3000 for the best local Alpine Shire scene, to fit in with Bright’s 150th Anniversary, and the Bright Autumn Festival’s 50th Anniversary .
One of two time winner Kasey Seely’s paintings will be the raffle prize this year, and very worth winning.
The Bright Autumn Art Exhibition will be displaying over 900 paintings from all over Australia, which makes it the largest exhibition in regional Victoria, usually attracting over 5000 visitors, and with sales reaching up to 30 per cent.
The winning paintings in all sections are acquisitive, and an excellent permanent collection of works has been built up over the years.
After the Official Opening Night on Wednesday 4 April, the Gallery will then be open daily from 10.30am till 4.30pm, until Friday 18th May. Admission is $5, children free.
Art groups, enthusiasts and tourists return each year, as this event has proved that it is certainly an exhibition and sale of paintings not to be missed.
